Progress update and walkthrough

This page summarises what is in the current build, what you will see in the walkthrough video, and what is scheduled next. The work shown here is for review and feedback; layouts and behaviour may change as development continues.

Summary

The application shell, navigation, and a first set of user-facing screens are in place across authentication, the device home screen, settings, and account management. Device control screens (gate and GSM) are the next major focus.

App appearance

  • Light and dark theme - toggle on the Sign In screen; preference is saved between sessions.

In app

The following screens and flows are implemented and can be navigated in the current demo build.

Sign in and account creation

  • Sign In - email and password login; demo details pre-filled for walkthroughs.
  • Create Account - registration form for new users.
  • Forgot Password - opened from Sign In as a panel; enter email to request a reset link.

Home and devices

  • My Devices - home screen listing sample gate and GSM/IO devices.
  • Add Device - form to enter device details.
  • Scan Serial Number - scan or manually enter a device serial number.

Open from the gear icon on the home screen.

Profile and information

  • My Profile - view and edit name, email, and contact details.
  • Change Password - update the account password.

  • Product Catalogue - Martin Electronics product range in an in-app browser.

Planned next

Not yet built

These areas are defined but not yet implemented.

  • Opening a device - select a device from the home list to open its control area.
  • Gate and GSM device screens - Control, Access Numbers, and Event Log tabs, plus related settings and alerts.
  • Device extras - device information panel, firmware upgrade, and live data from the server.
  • Terms and Conditions - post-login acceptance screen; exact flow to be confirmed.
  • Password reset completion - screen for the link sent by email after Forgot Password.
  • Live backend integration - connect registration, profile, devices, and control actions when the API is available.
